John N. Bently Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Swimming Pool Design and Construction
A leading expert in his field, Mr. Bently served as one of six authors of the Encyclopedia of Pool Design

HIGHLAND PARK, IL, November 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Bently, Executive Vice President of Rosebrook Carefree Pools, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in pool design and construction.

With 48 years of overall experience in the pool design and construction industry, Mr. Bently has served as executive vice president of Rosebrook Carefree Pools, Inc., for 39 years. In this position, is responsible for bidding for new work, managing bills and supervising 10 to 20 employees. An expert in high-end pool and spa design, he is one of six authors of the Encyclopedia of Pool Design, which is a "bible" for the industry. Moreover, Mr. Bently was among the many professionals responsible for the development of current safety measures, which eventually led to the passage of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act in 2007.

A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Bently earned a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology in 1955. A member of APSP, the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (formerly the National Spa and Pool Institute), he has been honored with many international gold medals for excellence in design and completion. He is accredited by APSP as a Certified Building Professional and Certified Service Professional. He serves as a consultant to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American National Standards Institute, and formerly served on the National Builders Council of the APSP.
